our provisional projects

Each year, provisional members create, fund, and complete an original project.  These projects must focus on an original way to serve the children of Grenada.  Projects such as Operation Special Needs, Totes for Tots, and Lovin' Lunch Boxes have evolved into ongoing projects.

JA of Grenada has won the MAG Award, a national award through NAJA for the best provisional project, in 2006, 2007, 2010, 2013, and 2015.

2016 Provisional project

The 2016-2017 provisional class decided to reach out to 7th grade middle school girls and promote self respect and self confidence. These ladies saw a very real need within this age group of kids. Their project, “Leading Ladies”, sought to meet the needs of these students. Select speakers will come and talk to the girls about self respect and self confidence. The provisional class will provide packed bags to pass out to each of the girls that attend the assembly with the selected speaker that consist of pony tail holders, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, pads, lotion, lip gloss and soap. Meeting the basic needs of these children and seeing their happy faces has been a very rewarding experience for this Provisional class.
